Professional Career:

Professor Chiang is the Stewart Distinguished Professor of Economics at Florida Atlantic University, and
a Senior Researcher at the Public Utility Research Center at the University of Florida.  He received his
Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Florida in 2002.  Currently, he teaches undergraduate and
graduate courses in International Trade, Microeconomic Theory, and Game Theory, and in 2009 was
awarded the title of
Distinguished Teacher of the Year, the highest teaching honor at FAU.  Dr. Chiang
has published 15 research articles in leading journals such as the
Review of Economics and Statistics,
the
Southern Economic Journal, and the Journal of Technology Transfer, and  developed two
Masters-level online courses in telecommunications regulation used at the Public Utility Research Center
and taken by students from 21 countries.  He is a lecturer for the biannual PURC/World Bank
International Training Program on Utility Regulation and Strategy.  In his spare time, Eric enjoys running

and studying languages and cultures.
